ZURICH, Switzerland and DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Nanoflex Robotics A.G. (“Nanoflex”), a Swiss developer of magnetically controlled telerobotic systems for endovascular interventions, and Genpharm, the Dubai-based specialty healthcare company and regional leader in rare disease and advanced therapy market access, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore a strategic collaboration across the Gulf and Levant countries.
Through the newly signed MOU, the parties intend to explore opportunities to bring Nanoflex’s endovascular robotic platform to patients and healthcare systems across the region, with the goal of expanding access to advanced, minimally invasive endovascular treatments. The collaboration will promote awareness for robotically driven systems, facilitate clinical engagement, evaluate regulatory pathways, and prepare commercial roll-out for Nanoflex products in the region.
“The Gulf and Levant are among the most dynamic and ambitious healthcare markets in the world, with national strategies that explicitly prioritize advanced medical technology and equitable access to specialist care,” said Matt Curran, CEO of Nanoflex Robotics. “We are excited to work with Genpharm and leverage its expertise in bringing innovative, life-changing therapies to patients across the MENA region.”
“Our collaboration with Nanoflex marks the introduction of this advanced endovascular robotic platform to patients and healthcare systems across the region in the Middle East and North Africa. This partnership reinforces our commitment to enabling access to leading global medical technologies and contributing to the advancement of regional healthcare systems.” said Adeeb Al Attar, Managing Director of Genpharm.
Under the MoU, the two companies will explore collaboration in regulatory strategy, market entry and clinical engagement.
The MENA healthcare market, covering countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, serves a population of more than 500 million people. Industry forecasts estimate that the region’s healthcare sector will grow from $256 billion in 2025 to $412 billion by 2032, representing a compound annual growth rate of approximately 7%.
